Rock Historian Glenn A. Baker Presents Dino Jag to Ray Columbus

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

OK I can spill the beans on my first project with Blue Pie Productions

I have been working on a remake of the sixties #1 hit “She’s a Mod” by Ray Columbus & the Invaders & I have just received word that Ray Columbus has given it the big “thumbs up!” Glenn A. Baker personally presented the remake to Ray Columbus over in New Zealand so this makes it even more special.

It was actually Glenn A. Baker who first suggested the remake of the song to Blue Pie’s CEO Damien Reilly. Damien then spoke to me about working on the track. Given that the original was such a huge hit for Ray Columbus in the sixties, I must admit I was a little nervous about writing new sections into the song and adding my own vocal. So I was quite relieved to hear that Ray Columbus was vibed about the new additions in the remake.

I’ll keep you posted on developments…

Dino Jag Signs Deal with Blue Pie Productions

Friday, March 12th, 2004

I’m looking forward to getting stuck into some of the great projects that Blue Pie Productions has on the table. This is a very exciting era for creating & experiencing music & I am glad to be a part of a company that understands it & is in tune with it…

I remember when Colin Seeger first spoke to me about Blue Pie… this company in Sydney who was doing some interesting global deals… said I should check them out. As it turns out, Colin had passed on some of my material to Blue Pie’s CEO Damien Reilly, & what followed was an invitation to come on board & join the team. Thanks Colin!

Damien Reilly, has a real knack for thinking & working “outside the square” of traditional marketing. He is also an active player in the development & implementation of new vehicles for the digital delivery & distribution of music.

The added support that I will gain from the Blue Pie team will allow me the luxury of being able to collaborate & work more with other artists as a writer & producer. What’s also cool about this deal is that I can continue to work & focus on my own projects as an artist. This really is an ideal scenario for me. Gives me a sort-of yin & yang balance of creative flows.  I’ll try & keep you up to date with what’s going down.
