Dino Jag Credited as Co-Writer for “She’s a Mod” with Terry Beale

Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

Terry Beale wrote the original version of “She’s a Mod” back in 1964 whilst he was in The Senators – the UK band from Birmingham whose line-up included future Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. “This track has an amazing history,” says Dino Jag, “How cool to now be a part of the remake 40 years on…”

The Senators actually released the original version of the song, but it was Ray Columbus & the Invaders’ recording of “She’s a Mod” which became a hit & went on to become New Zealand’s first international # 1 record later that same year.

“Writing new sections & lyrics into a song that has already achieved international success can be quite intimidating for a songwriter,” says Dino Jag, “It’s quite a personal win for me to now be credited with Terry Beale as co-writer of the reworking of this classic sixties track.”

Rusty Anderson vs. Dino Jag – New License Deal Signed

Friday, June 4th, 2004

Blue Pie Productions, Oxide Records & Rusty Anderson have today signed an exclusive licensing deal for the new master rights to Dino Jag’s remixes of “Hurt Myself”, the title track off Rusty Anderson’s debut album “Undressing Underwater” featuring Sir Paul McCartney

“Working on this track has been an incredible experience,” says Dino Jag. Rusty Anderson is an amazing musician & songwriter. There are so many killer tracks on his debut album & to be able work on the track which also features Sir Paul McCartney took the whole experience to another level. I still can’t believe that I’m actually singing & playing on the same track with these music giants!”

Rusty Anderson says, “It’s great… it’s really a trip to hear someone taking a different take on your tune & get a whole different angle on it, it’s awesome. I am really digging all the new treatments!”

“I’m a big fan of this version of “Hurt Myself”. Very cool!” says Douglas Neumann from Crush (Rusty’s management).

This is a great win & acknowledgement for the work of Dino Jag, Damien Reilly & the Blue Pie crew.
