“Hurt Myself” – Helping the Nelson Mandela Foundation 46664

Monday, April 18th, 2005

46664 was the prison number of Nelson Mandela on Robben Island, Cape Town where he was held in captivity for 18 years…

In November 2002 Mr Mandela gave his prison number 46664 to Dave Stewart of Eurythmics so that he could use it to help in the fight against HIV/AIDS in South Africa by raising money for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Now the Hurt Myself project has also been established to assist in raising much needed funds. 15% of all proceeds from the sales of “Hurt Myself” by Rusty Anderson vs. Dino Jag will go directly to the Nelson Mandela Foundation 46664 organization. This is a new initiative from Blue Pie, Crush Management, Rusty Anderson, Dino Jag & the artists that performed on this great song including Abe Laboriel Jr, David Kahne, Probin Gregory, Brian Ray, Paul Wickens and Sir Paul McCartney.

Barry Crocker & Dino Jag “Shine a Light”

Friday, April 1st, 2005

The re-working of the seventies Barry Crocker song “Moonbeams” will be re-named “Shine a Light” & will feature Dino Jag sharing the vocal duties with Barry Crocker for the new release…

“When I first started work on the track, I latched onto the lyric “Shine a Light” which was used in the original “Moonbeams” recording,” says Dino Jag. “It’s a simple but powerful lyric which people can identify with in some many different ways. It inspired some new lyrics & sections for the song & has now become the new theme for the re-make. It seemed logical that it be renamed “Shine a Light” to be in sync with the new direction.”
