Friday, November 11th, 2005

Two of Dino Jag’s recent releases are now available for download on HurricaneHealing.US – Volume 2. The Hurricane Healing “virtual album” contains a series of downloadable tracks provided by musicians all over the world as part of an initiative which has been established to raise money for the victims of the 2005 Hurricane season. Tracks up for grabs include “Shine a Light” by Barry Crocker feat. Dino Jag & “She’s a Mod” by Ray Columbus & the Invaders vs. Dino Jag

When you buy a track or album, 50 cents of every dollar you spend goes directly to the National Headquarters of the Salvation Army in the U.S. Additionally, many artists are donating the proceeds they’d normally receive from sales to this relief effort. Due to the scale of the devastation, funds & help will be needed for many months & perhaps even years to come. So when you download any of the tracks off the album, you’ll be contributing some much needed money. Each track is less than a couple of bucks, so you won’t even notice it missing from your pocket!

The album is available from digital retailers all around the world, but to save you time searching, just click here & you’ll be taken straight to Hurricane Healing – Volume 2 were you can check out the tracks available for download. This is great music initiative that needs your support.

“Sampson’s Addiction” Exposed!

Thursday, November 10th, 2005

Students participating in the TAFE Gawler “Learn 2 Earn” program are about to get their first full dose of “Sampson’s Addiction” by “L2EZ”. Now that the final version of the track has been mastered, “Sampson’s Addiction” will finally be exposed for all to experience…

The hip-hop track, which was co-written & produced by Dino Jag, came about as a result of student participation in the TAFE Gawler “Learn 2 Earn” program. Under the watchful eye of Dani Vadoulis, the innovative program has used the recording, manufacturing & marketing of a song as the vehicle for the students to learn to apply a broad range of real-life work related skills.

“It’s been a lot of fun working with the guys,” says Dino. ““Sampson’s Addiction” has shaped up to be a very cool song, I think people will really dig it.”

Stay tuned for release details.

ABC Listeners Get an Exclusive Preview Airing of “Shine a Light”

Wednesday, November 9th, 2005

Today during an interview with Barry Crocker on the ABC, listeners across the country got an exclusive preview airing of “Shine a Light,” the new track to be released by Barry Crocker which also features Adelaide based singer/songwriter & producer Dino Jag

The project was started by Barry Crocker and Damien Reilly from Blue Pie. “After a few meetings we found some of the work that I did in the 70’s and while we were going through some of the records at my place we made a call to Dino Jag and got him onto the case and he locked down on the “Moonbeams” track,” says Barry.

“Dino has a real gift for mixing and is one talented singer/songwriter. Dino got to work on the track and came back with some demo ideas. We worked on the mix a little more and I got to re-do my vocals at Underfoot Studios with Michael Hardwick at Crows Nest.

“The thing that is so special about this song is that we have some of the world’s best playing on the original sessions (David Foster, Jay Graydon, Larry Carlton…) which have been incorporated into the new track. There is a really cool story about the original sessions… Let’s take a time warp some 28 Years to today… and Dino Jag works this into a super track with new vocals by Dino and myself.
