A Glass Shattering Experience!

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Have you ever wondered how some of those rock singers hit those high notes? How they sing the way that they do, night after night, without damaging their voice? Is there something that they know that you don’t?

Well, if you’re a singer who is interested in finding out the answer to these questions and a whole lot more about getting your voice into next gear then listen up…

American vocal coach to the rock stars, sharer of secret singing business and author of the critically acclaimed 400 page vocal instruction training manual “Raise Your Voice”, Jaime Vendera is heading to Australia in October to present a series of vocal performance workshops across the country. He’ll be accompanied by guitarist and performance coach Scott Stith, also from America, and together they’ll be dishing up a vocal performance extravaganza!

Jaime’s specialty is voice strengthening, which means how to last through a long set night after night, add power and range, and minimize strain and vocal loss.

He is most famously known as the first documented singer in the world to shatter a wine glass by the power of his voice alone. He has appeared on numerous televised shows around the world including “Good Morning America”, “The Discovery Channel show” and “Myth Busters” demonstrating the power of his “glass shattering” voice!

His books have been read, praised and endorsed by members and singers of bands such as TNT, Nitro, Dream Theater, Journey, Saliva, Three Doors Down, Winger, Evanescence, Dokken, Stryper, Chevelle, Shinedown, Sevendust, Puddle Of Mudd, Godhead, The Rasmus, Machina, Avalon, Theory of a Deadman, Kill Hannah, RA, Steroemud, The Dreaming, Future Leaders of the World and many more.

Part guru, part showman, his workshops are great fun and great value. There will also be a special product clinic component to these workshops which will showcase some of the latest microphones and effects processors that are available for singers today.

PS – I’ll be traveling around Australia with Jaime for all the workshops so come on down & let’s shatter some glass together!

Let Us Dream Another Day

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

The inspiration for the song “Dream Another Day” originated a few years ago when I was invited to perform on a national childrens’ TV show here in Australia called “The Music Shop.” The appearance inspired me to write something about how as children we would so freely & naturally tap into our beautiful imagination & wonder.. a precious activity that I believe should never be abandoned. The original title of the song was “Wishing Wells & Carousels” & it was only ever performed on the TV show.

A little while ago I decided to revisit that song & ended up re-writing it & recording an acoustic version of it which is currently only available as a free download to my subscribers. You are more than welcome to get your free copy by subscribing at DinoJag.com. Here’s a copy of the Lyrics…

Dream Another Day

Once upon a time there was a wishing well
Where people would gather round and throw away their coins
Just so they could see if there was magic there
And they would fantasize, a lot like you and me

Once upon a time there was a rocking horse
So big you’d have to climb onto the universe
Just so you could play and you could ride all day
And you could tell your friends and you could wave at them

Let us dream another day
Now, now, now
Let us dream another day

Once upon a time there was a mocking bird
His wings could span the sky just like an aeroplane
He knew a million songs and he would fly all day
And you could hear him sing, almost everywhere

Let us dream another day
Now, now, now
Let us dream another day

Now I know what you’re thinking
I’ve lost my mind
But I’m having a good time
In this world of mine

Once upon a time there was a leprechaun
His nose would kiss the ground and he would stare right at you
Right between the eyes and he would make you laugh
And you would realize, you could do anything

Let us dream another day
Now, now, now
Let us dream another day
Now, now, now
Let us dream now
Let us dream now
Let us dream now
Let us dream now
Let us dream now, let us dream, just let us dream
