The song was recorded at the legendary Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood in 2016 with Grammy Award Winning producer Jeff Bova at the helm and features a stellar lineup of musicians: Aaron Sterling (Drums – John Mayer), Corey Britz (Bass – Bush), Tim Pierce (Guitar – Bruce Springsteen), Jeff Bova (Keyboards – Michael Jackson), Carroll Hatchet (Backing Vocals – Bette Midler) & Bernard Fowler (Backing Vocals – The Rolling Stones).

In February, 2021 'Sweet Summer Smile' was officially released as a stand-alone single during the Australian summer to celebrate the easing and lifting of pandemic restrictions.
