Welcome To My Fantasy
I reckon I would’ve been about 6 or 7 years old.. when I first discovered that my hairbrush could serve double duty as a microphone! Yep, I still remember standing in front of my bedroom mirror (when no one was around) with my air guitar and hairbrush in hand pretending to be a singing sensation on a huge stage performing to a massive crowd. And even though I couldn’t actually sing or play a single note, in my imaginary world I sounded awesome.. and my make-believe audience was completely captivated!
It’s so easy to forget how powerful our imaginations were as children.. Somehow that hairbrush could instantly transport me onto a concert stage in front of a massive crowd and give me the superpower to sing like a champion! But even more vivid in my memory are the feelings and emotions that I experienced during those “hairbrush” performances. I could feel my make-believe audience right there with me every step of the way, as if they were under my skin and inside my head, feeling exactly what I was feeling as I performed on that stage.. and it felt magical!
And the best part was.. In this imaginary world of mine, I was completely uninhibited. I wasn’t scared to be on that big stage and share my passionate expressive performances with that massive crowd.. I was absolutely fearless! Problem was, in real life, I was incredibly shy, self-conscious, and afraid to sing and perform in public.. especially my own songs! But during those imaginary performances I was completely free.. and i know it sounds crazy, but there was a part of me back then at the age of 7 that already knew that being on that stage and connecting with people through music was my calling.
Fast forward a few decades.. My voice has been featured on radio, film & TV campaigns that have been exposed to millions of listeners and viewers around the world. I have had the privilege to work on recordings which have included such iconic artists as Sir Paul McCartney.. I’ve been able to share the stage with artists like Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi), Sammy Hagar (Van Halen), Steve Vai (David Lee Roth, Whitesnake), Richard Marx, Status Quo, Jon Stevens & so many more. I’ve performed in sold-out concert venues with the backing of a full symphony orchestra.. won international songwriting awards.. entered music charts in countries that I’ve never been to. And ultimately, I’ve been able to connect with people all around the world through music in ways that I could never have envisaged, even as that kid with that hairbrush and wild imagination!
And now.. here YOU are.. and here I am, the two of us connected through music.. just like in my childhood fantasy! And that just blows me away when I think about it.
Making music would be pointless to me if there was no one to share it with. And in truth, my deepest desire has always been to somehow engage and connect with people through music in a way that lifts and inspires.. even if it’s just to take someone on a ride for a few minutes to escape the daily grind with a song or a live performance.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m still that kid with that burning desire to reach out and connect with people through the magical power of music.
The only difference is, after all these years I’ve finally got the guts to let people hear me sing.. to openly share my passion and joy for performing without worrying about what people might think of me.. and FINALLY, I’ve got the courage to share my own songs with the world!

The way I see it is that you’ve given me the opportunity to share my love of singing, writing songs and performing.. with YOU! You have no idea how much life that gives me.. how “on purpose” that makes me feel. Seriously.. thank you so much!
